Donald trump temporarily suspends H1B visa | Hybiz News
Indian students who are studying abroad and want to work in the US or Indian employees already working in the US are very anxious after US president Donald Trump called for a temporary suspension of the H1B visa system. According to the White house officials, He has also directed his administration to move in the direction of merit-based immigration.
There is currently a cap on H1B visas only 85,000 can be supplied every year and they distributed randomly through a lottery system. But now President Trump is also calling for the lottery system to be scrapped and instead use a salary ranking selection procedure.
The main goal of the administration is to seek and close all the loopholes that allowed US employers to replace American workers with low-cost foreign labour.
